     The last few weeks have been a bit blurry for me, each day of the final week of shooting was a emotional roller coaster,  the sadness in my heart was overwhelming at times and I'm not ashamed to tell you that tears flowed.  We hugged and said goodbyes to our cast and out of state crew, friends all... some closer than others but all have been part of my life for the last 9 seasons, each of them were complete strangers to me when they walked through the front door of the Production Office.

  • GLAAD Spirit Day!!

    I hope you all are wearing purple today! For those of you guys that don't know, today is GLAAD's Spirit Day - a day to show support for LGBT youth and speak out against bullying. (http://www.glaad.org/spiritday)I feel lucky that I grew up in a house that encouraged acceptance. I have vivid memories of my dad helping my high school drama department build sets, and a gay friend of mine saying "Your dad is so cool. He doesn't even care that I'm.......you know...."

  • Thinking about a boy I didn't know......

    I don't like writing this. But for those of you who have followed any of my rants over the last few years, you know I'm fiercely supportive of our troops. I've mentioned it many times on here....how the death of my childhood friend Sgt. Scott Kirkpatrick in Iraq was the catalyst for many of the changes I've made in my life in the last 4 years. And it makes me so terribly sad to say that now my little brother Conrad is faced with the same situation. Last Sunday, one of his best friends, Doug Green, was lost in combat.
