New Poll

Yep, it's time for another poll... this time about one of our most loved and hated instruments of modern day technologies...the cell phone.  You have to admit those helpful but annoying marvels have become deeply rooted into our very social fiber... they are rapidly becoming our window to the world, when we're not attached to the other must have machine...the computer.  Cell phones allow us to get fresh air... go out into the world without missing any updates on our FB or tweets, instant texts and of course those so-important emails.  I know this sounds a little dramatic and it is - I just have to turn the phone off... yeah right.  Who am I kidding? I pick it up just to see that it's still working... carry it with me all day long... even on my bike rides (and yes I've even answered it while biking...) Enough of that... our new poll:  One of the wonderful advancements in the cell phone industry lately is the "smart" phone... I bought one recently... it pretty much rocks.  So what we're asking is what kind of phone do you guys use... early next year we plan on releasing our Graphic Novel... hopefully one method may be into your phone!

I have an Alias II. I like a lot, b/c the keypad changes, and makes texting easier. Not sure if its considered a "smart" phone, but I think its pretty smart. :)

I can access the internet, and could probably ahve some applications and such from Verizon, but I don't really use those features.

Well I am one of those technologically challenged losers without a smart phone lol no I have and env2 but I just might have to upgrade if your graphic novel is involved haha

I have a blackberry curve. Its awesome.

I don't actually own a Smartphone, but i would definately not say no to one. They are an amazing invention, but of course not for everyone. I have to say i miss the simpler times when texting and ringing others was enough. For me It still is enough...My laptop does everyhting else! :)

I love that you might bring your novel to smartphone's though. Awesome idea!

i love smart phones... iphones and such. I wish I owned one but I love them.

I think thats a great idea though. Great job on using more cool technical things to help this company grow!

I wish I had a smart phone.... or even a cool phone but I just had a regular flip phone.

But I think thats a great idea for the graphic novel... cell phone accessible.

Im not cool enough to have a smart phone... ):

I love the idea of smartphones, and I would love to have one. I have the Samsung Instinct, and I guess they call it a 'smartphone'. However, its more of a 'not-so-smart phone', one that would probably serve better use a projectile of sorts. I am quite attached to the phone part, not emotionally, but its basically the only phone I talk on, and use text quite regularily. The phone just doesn't work so well with the smart part. I am quite tempted to get the iphone though.

I have got HP IPAQ 614c model. Pretty much rocks, as you said.

I only have a verizon LG. which hopefully I've be able to get a new phone soon because the front  screen of mine is broke and can't read what it says.

I absolutely cannot live without my iphone.  I got on the bandwagon at the very beginning and it has not let me down yet.

Crackberry Bold.... i'll admit i used to quietly mock blackberry users who clutched their phones like it was some sort of lifesupport....until i caved and bought a blackberry and one day a friend threatened to pry it from my fingers and chuck it in a lake coz i was obsessed.... but anyway... yes blackberry all the way the internet is really easy to use and the sound quality on calls is better than my home phone... plus im a bit of a tragic twitterwhore so i'm loving the twitterberry app as well... do i sound obsessed? no, never...

do people ever think you're weird? sure in a charming, endearing, lovable. . . yeah.

While it would be 'nice' to have a Smart Phone it is far from a necessity.  Merely a want!
So for now I will stick with my regular mobile which makes calls, recieves texts and has a  variety of other functions (including the internet) that I don't even use!

BUT...if by chance I landed myself one.  Sure, I would get right into it!

Be a DO-er!

Also a Blackberry Pearl user here. Couldn't live without it now!

Only had a basic call/text cell phone until around 7 months ago and I thought that was sufficent. Now that I've joined the world of Blackberry I could never turn back. I even check sogopro.com for updates from my phone from time to time. I don't have alot of time to sit down at a computer anymore so I use my phone to keep in contact with the world. Simple & easy.

I got my first "smart"phone, a BB pearl, 3 years ago and ever since, I have been in love wiith BB's in general! I now have a BB tour, which, in my opinion, is the best BB in the world! Mine is with me all day and all night, or until I shut it off to go to bed........I do not actually talk on it much (I use 150 minutes a month and that includes my "free" minutes), which is weird, I know! But, I talked on the phone so much throughout middle and high school, that I hate to talk on it now unless necessary...... I do use yahoo messenger, FB, twitter, txt, e-mail, music (all, 900 songs and counting) surf the internet, etc....... What is the coolest feature on the Tour you may be asking? that would be the awesome Vcast song ID. Have you ever heard a song on the radio or TV, wherever, that you like but have absolutely no clue who the artist is or what the name of the songis? Well, if so, you would go to the song ID application as soon as you hear these mystery songs, click on ID new song, hold your phone up to the speaker for 10 seconds, and then.... poof!! A new screen comes up with the Artist, Song Name and Album name. It also gives you the option of going to Vcast music to buy the song, however, if you ever put your memory card on which this song is saved, into another MP3 player, etc... you cannot listen to the song because only the device you bought the song on has rights to play it. So its better just to buy it from i-tunes or somewhere. Anyway, I am done telling my story about the coolest phone and app on it!  So, since i can do all of that with my phone, I look forward to the day when I can get SoGoPro's Graphic Novel through my phone too!!!

xoxo, Carah :)

i have an iphone, it's great !

I'm pretty sure my phone can enable me to access the internet, but have never tried it. Apparently it can also play mp3s - again, never tried it.

I require my phone to allow me to send and receive calls and texts. That is pretty much all i want from it! When I am with other people or doing something else, i don't want to be thinking about whether I  have an email, or whether someone might have updated their twitter.

However, in saying all this, my brother has an iPhone and they DO look pretty snazzy. I fear if i were to get one, it wouldn't take me long to get addicted...

Must. Stay. Away.

I'm with Neeve and Astrid, I like face to face interaction more. And my phone isn't even mine... my work gave it to me and I use it to call and send text messages... but an iphone sounds good, I have an ipod and I love it.

Ok, I'm afraid I've got to say that I don't have a smartphone. I have an old 'normal' phone where I can call and text with... kinda pathetic, right? :p

I have an LG phone but I really want a Blackberry!! My sister has one and at first they seem really confusing but after you get the hang of it they're pretty sweet. I think its amazing how technology is progressing. It blows my mind.

it's crazy how  much i use my blackberry. I have had it since the summer and already it's like an oxygen tank. I check my twitter regularly, in fact i think i use it more than my laptop.

If we're not careful technology will be using us not the other way around and we won't even notice until it will be too late!

I kind of live on my phone--- Just sent a facebook message to my editor via the FB app... My laptop was 20 feet away... and I used the phone.

Also, as much as I love you guys and the book club/film club/ keeping up with the movie/show/webisode stuff y'all are doing... I, honestly, probably wasn't gonna be one to pick up a graphic novel... BUT... on my phone?? That I probably could get into.

Love my iphone, wouldhate to be without it - does this mean i am a techie???? HELP!

Sometimes I think we're on the same wavelength as I was going to suggest developing a mobi site. In Africa particularly, there are still plenty of places where the internet via computers are not easily accesible but virtually everyone has access to internet via cell phones. A whole new market to access.

Fun poll :)
