monsieurs and madames.
i'm in france this week. not literally, but my mind has journeyed there for a [close-to] final brush-up on our graphic novel script. just adding some colorful touches to really give it one last POP! i have to admit i was so relieved during a conversation with our artist (who you'll meet in wednesday's podcast) when he told me i didn't have to rewrite the script to be in graphic novel form. what a lifted weight. but still, i find myself in writing land, and it's a place i like to be...
so that's that.
and this is this. you know i enjoy sharing things with you that i enjoy. and i especially enjoy finding folks whose credo matches that of SGP. and today i wanted to throw a website your way that lands on both of those targets.
this is the website for joseph gordon-levitt's production company, hitRECord. we're big fans of jg-l over here at sogopro (love the lookout and brick). but most important is the mode of his company 'cause it sure seems to smell and taste a bit like what we've got going on over here. joseph has created a wonderfully interesting community set to the soundtrack of art. and this upcoming year, he's taking his project to sundance, which we heartily applaud. so check out what he's doing, and get involved if it rolls your dice. in the meantime, keep hitting record with us.

Glad to see you spreading the word about hitrecord nick! :) I've been a part of the forum and community at the .org for about two years now, I can definitely see the similarities between the community there and here. If any of you have not yet discovered it I urge you to do so!
Cheers,

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE GRAPHIC NOVEL - I LOVE CHECKIN OUT DIFFERENT STYLES. SINCE I'M WORKIN ON MY OWN ONE, IT'S GREAT TO SEE ARTISTS GET THEIR WORK PICKED UP...CONGRATS, I HOPE IT GOES REALLY WELL, SOUNDS AS IF IT IS, ANYWAY.
Well, I'm keen as mustard to see this Graphic Novel. I think it's such a cool thing to get involved in. The art work plus Nick's script is going to be a pretty cool thing to see.
I've been following Hit Record for a while, it always kind of reminded me of the community at sogopro - funny to see you mentioning it in a blog!
"monsieurs and madames" ==> "Mesdames et Messieurs" in French
You can follow Mr. Gordon-Levitt on Twitter @HitRecordJoe AND he's also hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend. It's a pretty fantastic project he's got going on, and I'm glad you social media gurus are helping each other out!
Best,
Kaitlin
