Friends - Old & New...

kt's picture

Today we hit a milestone, 9000 followers on Twitter.  That's a pretty large number and we're really happy that we have so many great people that share our passion for SoGoPro.  It takes a community to support a belief and the SoGoPro community has been standing by us from Day 1.  The wonderful positive feedback from all of you along with the support of the Street Team keeps us motivated.

It's amazing how many new friendships have started between complete strangers that have met through our site.  For example, I understand that Anneliese is trying to coordinate a get together with SGP friends in Paris (if the volcano doesn't keep acting up) which is so terrific (I might be a bit jealous!)  The Team Blog is another example of our wonderful community reaching out to each other across the globe and sharing thoughts and ideas for example, Charlotte from MN pitches a coloring book to the Hellick - go figure!

It's so nice to drop by our Live Chat and catch up with old friends and meet new ones, i urge each of our SoGoPro Tweeters to try it out, everyone is really nice and it truly transforms individual thoughts into meaningful conversations.  I thank all of you for the positive energy that our community builds upon and continues to share.

Onward,

kt

Before SoGoPro I worked in comics as a penciller, which was great. I love it. But what I always wanted to do was go into film and do storyboard art. When I saw this site and witnessed the force behind you guys, it pushed me to take that step into movies and I haven't looked back!

So thanks guys!

It's always a pleasure to read this website. Thanks for the post. I was watching browsing the sites when I heard the most strucking news on earth. Websites are going down. The tickets for sale to watch the Kennedy Space Shuttle launch next month were intended to go on sale today. But because their site went down and people are not able to purchase their tickets on line, Kennedy Space Center tickets were shut down all together.

That's so exciting! I know I haven't been very active around here lately to comment/chat but I still try to keep up with the blog/site as I can. It's so great to see how much it's grown and how it continues to grow every day!

So true, so true! Just donning my SGP 'uniform' off in a few hours to meet up with Hanne and Dani. Really excited about this - will keep y'all posted

Usually it wouldn't be a good thing to be 1/9000, but in this case it feels great. SPG is such a tight-knit family, and they make everybody feel important and included, thanks. :)

Awww...KT. This was such a GREAT blog. You thank us the followers for our support. But it is us, the followers  that are so greatful and privlidged to be a part of this amazing group! If it had not been for You, Hilarie, and Nick, there would be no SOGOPRO. All of these wonderful friendships that have been formed would not have happened. Which would have made the world a much sadder place. Kudos and much Thanks to you guys for making this all possible for each and every one of us! :)I could not imagine a world without all of these wonderful people that I have met through SGP! Thank you so much again for everything!

It is the same for me, I discovered many wonderful people from all countries and of
every horizon. people I would not even look them in the street
crossing, sogopro taught me something, the mind can communicate with others.

that we have 20 or 40 years we still have many things to discover. I say thank you to
HELLIC you, and to any members of this wonderful world that is ours through your
beautiful passion you share with us.

Love the blog, KT! It's so true. SoGoPro has connected people from all over the world and it's so cool to see all of these friendships forming! Heck, I skype w/ Peyton every day and I know a bunch of us are following each other on Twitter and Facebook!

I've been spreading the word on Twitter (I have an obsession w. Twitter...so if you need anything Twitter-related...I'm on it!) and I even got a friend to follow you all!

Thanks for creating a home away from home for us here. Hilarie said it best, "We love you here at SoGoPro" and it definitely rings true. I can tell how hard-working and devoted all three of you are to getting your films and graphic novel out there for the world to see and it amazes me how caring and wonderful you, Hilarie and Nick have been.

I love SoGoPro and everything it stands for. Like I said on Facebook, thanks SoGoPro for always making me smile :)

I've met some really really really great people on here. People who have become my friends. It's very hard for people who don't know SoGoPro to understand the concept. My sister said a few days ago: it's so strange you're going to Paris, while you've never met those people. To me, it's not strange at all. Or at least, not with these people. (Talking about Paris, I'm the only one flying in, and the flights are starting again, incl. Paris!!) KT, you're always welcome to join us. If it's not this meet up, then there's always the next one!!

It's a lovely community with caring and kind people. And it feels a bit like home when I get on chat, with lots of people on there who are very dear to me. I hope to see/read/hear more about everyones passions and everyone's entries. It's a great way to share your creativity and inspire others.

A million thanks to the Hellick for creating something so grand :)

I agree with your words KT, i have met some incredible people since being a part of sogopro. I have made friends in places i never even been too, and we talk as if we've known eachother for years:)

And I agree with Ashley, I think I also talk to the sogopro community more then my friends that I have at home.

I think it's that we are all simular in some form or another. It's so awesome when I get to meet someone that I can really relate too. Just last night I was talking to Brandi from Cali, come to find out we have a lot in common when it comes to music. We are actually planning to go to a concert together.

btw... I liked Charlotte's coloring book idea. I could totally see sogopro doing that!!:)IDK know why? I just do haha!!!

AWesome Blog KT!:

I have met the coolest people ever on SoGoPro!! I enjoy talking to them more than I do my own friends here at home. :) It's so awesome how many people are noticing SGP and making an effort to join and give creative input. I'm going to Wilmington this summer and so is Loren B. I can't wait to get to know her more and especially since wer're around the same age, I know that we will have a bunch in common and get along great! Kasia is right, everyone here is so kind and welcoming! I love it! SoGoPro is definitely to blame for the amazing friendships that have been created. So thank you, SGP for giving me some awesome friends! I can't wait to meet more!

Excellent blog, KT

Ashley :)

Dear Kt and SoGoPro Friends,

I must agree with Kelly. This is somewhat a phenomon that SoGoPro community gathered so many people all over the world and influenced our lives in the most positive ways. I'm still overwhelmed that so many friendships happen among strangers. What is the most overwhelming for me, is the fact how nice, genuine and kind people happen to cross my way and have this big impact on my (and others) life. Thanks to all of you, I've stopped seeing the worst in people and have hope that there are still good people out there. No matter where!

Thank you all!

xoxo,

Kasia
