What's new at SoGoPro
Friends,
Over the last few weeks we have had several positive meetings with our business partners that are trying to raise money for our projects. As I've mentioned before... raising $ for films is kinda tough, especially in this economic recession. However, because of their hard work, they've found couple of investors that have expressed interest in us that we're going to meet over the next few weeks and hopefully bring them onto the team.
We've been busy also developing a couple of new projects, one a television series and the other a period movie that takes place here in North Carolina. Excited about them both!
On the graphic novel front, it's slow going I'm afraid. We've been working with Dave Dorman to find our special artist...
Got a new video segment in the works called Industry Interviews, (Many Thanks to Megan for the Art work) that will be hitting our site this week... maybe tomorrow, probably Monday... you'll get to meet folks that work in the film industry and also live here in Wilmington, NC. Our first guest is someone who is near and dear to me, my mentor...Robert V. Girolami. Go ahead and look him up on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0320949 ...he's had a pretty stellar career.
Loving our Twitter followers, as most of you know we're cruising towards the 10K number. What's really even more awesome is when you guys re-twitter us to all your followers, we can reach almost 650K. Now that's a lot of friends. Love your SGP updates KT. I am sorry to hear that things on the graphic novel are going slow. I know that you guys will find the perfect artist. I am a firm believe in everything happens for a reason. It might now seem right at first, but I know that great things are gonna happen for this great novel. I just have a feeling. :). Im excited to see how theses two new projects unfold. A tv series and the movie. They both sound fantastic!! You guys are doing such a wonderful job and we are so proud of how far this company has come. Best of luck on the meetings this week! :)

KT, this was a lovely update! I have to tell you I am sooo excited about the idea for a period piece! I know it's still early stages but my mind is already running wild with crazy ideas and fabulous costumes!! Since many shows are coming to an end, now is a great time to get that TV show up and going and if "the show that shall not be named" makes it's final exit, there will be room in Wilmington for something new and fabulous. ILM does seem to have something in the water that keeps these shows on air a smidge longer than some of the others ;)
It's a shame that things are moving so slow with the graphic novel but you know, better to produce perfection over a period of time than deliver something sub-par in haste. Alina shared an artist with us in chat, Cameron Gray (Gray!!) and I think he would be a good fit to consider. it's great to hear that everything is moving forward. I am heading to Wilmington in a few days for vacation for my second year in a row. one of the main reason why i picked Wilmington is because of SoGoPro and this website. i love reading about all the projects that SoGoPro has going on in the town and have always been a fan of the behind the scenes thing when it come to productions. this website has help me learn more about the up and the downs. thanks for being so open with everything that is going on. I can't wait to support all of the future things SoGoPro has coming our way.

I think economic recession is no longer a valid reason since the currencies are going stronger, but I think some people need to make any excuse to cover the real reasons. I strongly believe you will get some great business deals because it's simply not possible for people to not realize how amazing SoGoPro is. Unless they are clinically declared as crazy or something. Pity the search for the graphic artist is going slow, but I strongly believe you will find someone soon, someone who will raise to all your expectations.
I'm also happy that some new projects are coming to live because I was really anxious to learn what's going on right now! Keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm in awe with the number of people connected to this site. I can't say I'm surprised though. It's an AMAZING site! I also can't say that I'm too surprised; the economy doesn't help when trying new things and getting people interested. I hope things follow through here though. I can't wait to see what else can be done!! I'm looking forward to the next few months as well. Keep up the good work!! I wouldn't be here without it!!
