What's Hilarie working on?
Busy week...
As many of you know, Hilarie has been busy working on a TV series in the Big Apple...White Collar on the USA Network, check out this interview...http://www.fancast.com/blogs/2010/tv-news/no-more-tears-as-hilarie-burton-fights-white-collar-crime/ we all look forward to seeing our favorite actress strutting her acting chops in that show that will start airing sometime in the early fall! We'll keep you posted so that all of you can tune in!
We've also been busy developing a Reality Show with a good friend of ours, Mary Jo Shipman... it will be design based program that will air on our website... so keep checking in and we'll start putting up more tidbits as we get further along.
Not much to report on the graphic novel front... Comic-Con has pulled everybody's focus... we'll have to wait until that wraps to get back to finding our special artist.
North Carolina passed an improved film incentive late Friday night... it's a home run for television production and a really good deal for feature films. We should be seeing the benefits of this incentive very soon. Both Hilarie and I are members of the Governors Film Council and are delighted to have been part of this process to help bring back those lost film jobs! Hi! Great to get a update on what Hilarie is up to! :-) Looking forward to see White Collar! And congrats on 10.000 followers, thats amazing! And I'm so happy to see this community grow and get bigger every day.
I started to stick into and found out about SoGoPro to be able to support Hilarie after she dropped out of One Tree Hill. But I realized how much all of you have to offer, that includes the street team! I stick in here because I love to be apart of the development of this community and I love to be able to "meet" people from all over the world! I am from Norway and to me, its rare to be able to share kind of the same culture and interests in this way! I love how this community bring people together. Thats just pure amazingness to be able to be a part of. I wrote about the developement, and its like, when you see a movie or read a novel, you are a part of the finished product, but here you also get to know the ups and downs and the development. I think that makes at least me appreciate the finishing product even more! Thank you for letting me being a part of this.

I began following Sogopro after I google searched Hilarie to see what films she was up to and an article boasted about this great production company she was apart of called Southern Gothic. I liked what I saw as soon as I logged on and I have supported sogopro ever since and wear my t-shirt and hoodie with much pride.

I've been a fan on One Tree Hill for years and I've seen Hilarie develop as an actress through it all. I originally came to this site for her and to see how I could continue to support her but I've come to realize how great this place is and these people are! When I began following SGP Street Team on Twitter I recieved my first direct message and I was tickled to death that they had actually taken the time to send a message out instead of just brushing off another follower. How cool was that?! It's great to feel like we have the opportunity to be apart of SGP and I'm so glad I joined this site. I'm stickin' with SoGoPro because you'd be crazy not tooooo! I have family in North Carolina and I'm dying to visit Wilmington and I'm dying to move to NC. It's great to see that such a beautiful place has more than just land to offer, it has film and art.
So please, please, please keep on being cool and we'll keep on supporting you guys. Congrats on the 10,000 followers! Hopefully soon we'll be seeing another tweet that you guys have 20,000 followers :) It can only get better from here!

Can't believe it has taken me this long to reply to this post.
I am really looking forward to see Hilarie in White Collar. It's always interesting to see an actor in a completely different role and it sounds as though it will be a great one. I believe it airs here in England so will have to look it up & catch up.
Also really excited to hear more about this reality show. So far I have enjoyed all the projects SoGoPro have produced and I am sure this one will be no different.
As for why I am sticking with SoGoPro - I can't imagine not. It has become such a big part of my life the past year and bit and it is exciting to come here to read new blogs, interviews and new ideas for the company. I joined the SoGoPro community in the beggining so I could follow projects from start to finish which is what I am doing. Been here since the planning stages and intend to stay here to see the finished products & everything in between :)

I like following sogopro because it is more than just a website. It is a community. I like following the ups and downs of the production process and to know that the struggle to succeed is experienced by everyone. I especially enjoy watching the video updates and as a professed book worm - the book reviews. I loved the true tale of boyfriend and girlfriend and like that being a follower of sogopro is supporting a small business and a team of extremely talented people.

Wow! So much has been going on at SGP lately!!! Yay to 10,000 followers!!! That is such a accomplishment and warms my heart to see all the lovely fans that SGP has gained. This is a little late but I wanted to reply anyway and tell you why I am sticking with SGP. :)
I am sticking with SGP because from the very begining this company has always been about somthing more than the entertainment business. Of course that it what the main focus is because it is a production complany, but you guys took the time to get to know your followers and your audience. You didnt treat us like a goup of crazied fans, you took us under your wing and showed us the ins and outs of this business. Not to mention that you guys are a constant reminder that with perserverence, imagination and a little elbow grease you can achieve what ever your heart desires. Thank you for that! :)

I can’t wait to watch Hilarie’s guest spot on White collar. Sara sounds like a really cool character and I’m sure Hilarie will rock it. I have never really followed an actress’/actor’s career before, BUT, that being said, I can’t wait to watch the rest of Hilarie’s acting career unfold. :)
As for why I’m sticking with SoGoPro? I love how passionate and driven you guys are for the work you do and the “arts” in general. That kind of passion and enthusiasm rubs off on people (myself included). In an industry filled with glitz and glamour and people with not-so-great motivations it is refreshing to come across a company like this. Hence, for these reasons and more I feel like there are big things in store for this production company. Not to mention it seems like you guys have developed one of the nicest, most supportive fan base out there.

I'm sticking with SoGoPro because I have faith that in the long run the reward will be worth it. :) And the reward has already been worth it too! I am grateful for the connections to people I now have that I would have never have had in the past. Example friendships with people who live in Ireland, South Africa, France and such.
Very pleased to read the interview with Hilarie about White Collar. I do not know much about the show...but I'm definitly going to have to check it out. I wonder if I need to watch the previous season of it or if I can just jump in now?! Hmm...

Given that I am now living in the Back End of Nowhere with very limited internet access (and therefore am only seeing this latest post today) I sincerely doubt I am in your first 75 or whatever it was. Nonetheless, I am sticking with sogopro, because at this point, it would be strange to do anything else.
Could probably write a pretty paragraph here about my reasons for supporting etc etc, but you've had all those sorts of sentiments in the posts above mine, and I feel like I've said it all a million times. Suffice it to say that I am loyal to the things/people that I care about and respect.
I've been doing a recap of season one since I heard she was supposed to be on it!! Hope she is a regular, but only if that's what she wants to do. Understand fully if it's just a guest appearance for a few episodes. I imagine that would be fun! lol.
I stay with SoGoPro, because I like what you guys are doing as a group and how you get other people with little or no, or a lot of experience together to share a common interest. To me, you are truly, "one of a kind!" Not to mention everyone on here is great, and welcoming when you first drop by for a visit!! One stop here, and who wouldn't want to come back!!!!?? Not to mention the book club, and the webisode, up and coming products, movies, and the podcasts!!! There is just so much amazing stuff going on on here!!!!!!! I will always be back!! Where else will I meet people like this??

I'm please to see you all are doing marvelous! Happy to see Hilarie back on TV, because I surely missed her! I've started watching White Collar's first season last weekend and what can I say - loving the show! Smart and funny, so Hil fits there perfectly.It would be awesome if she became a regular cast member! Figners crossed!
Why I stick around SoGoPro? It has such a great value in work and people that created SoGoPro, it's impossible not to like it! It's so nice to see that people are still passionate about something and pursue their dreams - very motivating for everyone who lost faith in dreams becoming true. Being able to be the part of the process is like icing on a cake! Innovative ideas, great sense of humor, interactions with street team is priceless, entertaining as hell and very refreshing in the current hollywood blitz. It's intelligent. You guys make us feel like a family, and that's just a wodnerful feeling!

Because I become an addict about SGP!!! ;) I have to say at first I found this place ,like 90% of people, we were searching info about Hilarie... But after that (firts contact!) I found a wonderful world after SoGoPro... absolutely AMAZING! and ofcourse lovely people! I only know that I try to visit you every day and see what news are from all of you...

There are many reasons Im sticking around SGP. For my love of film, and the art of making it. I enjoy the insight on how everything is being done, and I love that you all have opened up about it, and are so honest in everything. The blogs/vlogs are interesting, funny, and informative, I just love them all. There are so many things going on to be excited about, and to take interest in, from not only the film aspect, but with the webseries, graphic novel, this new reality show, and music. SGP has inspired me to get back in to music and art, for that I am thankful. It feels great to be drawing and playing again. I am continually inspired by following not only SGP, but fellow supporters also. The people surrounding SGP are an inspiration with their many talents, and views. Its so worldly around here. And everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I am also so grateful to SGP for the people I have met here. I have made some amazing friends, and had amazing experiences that I will never forget. So many reasons to hang around!

Thanks for always providing us with the latest news in the SoGoPro world!
When I first started following the blogs over a year ago, it was primarily to learn about what Hilarie would be doing post OTH. And then it became about more than just Hilarie. The informative blogs about a myriad of subjects and the camaraderie among the fans have been the chief reasons that keep me coming back. It only takes one blog post, by one of the "Hellick" for anyone to realize just how passionate and commited y'all are about what you do and what you wish to accomplish through this company. And a mere 15min chat with any one fan in the cbox, adds just another "level" of ubuntu in this melting pot called SoGoPro.
I am looking forward to seeing Hilarie on White Collar. Love a good crime show and mix that with a little comedy and I'm sold! Reality Show? Yahoo!!! I love to "people watch" and IMO, reality shows are the ultimate form of people watching - and a perfect way to waste a couple of hours ;-P Though I am not an avid graphic novel reader, I am disappointed to hear that the development of this project has come to a bit of a stand still. Hopefully some great new talent will emerge at Comic Con that will be the perfect fit for Southern Gothic. On a more positive note though, it is wonderful to read that NC has increased it's film incentive. Keeping fingers crossed that more companies will turn to "East Hollywood" for filming.
Congratulations on twitter! I think by now everyone knows my stance on twitter but a even I will concede that 10, 000 followers is a great twitter milestone. :-P

The reason why i am sticking with Southern Gothic Productions is because i truly beleive in this site!
Hilarie Burton is my role model and I look up to her so much, and I can honestly say that she has changed my life. I dont know what I would ever do without her. Whatever film she is in she brings everything to the table and I can see that, and from that, she is absolutley inspiring! Not only does she do that, but, the way she can show so much emotion, and grace is why I find her my role model.When Im older I really would like to be just like her, because she is a down to earth, caring, kind, strong and a beautiful person, and if I end up like her in anyway I know that Ill be fine. So I am sticking with you guys because I love her but I also love watching her grow and do what she loves to do, and that is to inspire people and act. Also SGP also shows more than just hollywood and brings it to North Carolina which shows us how beautliful and nice this place truley is. I can actually go on forever but I wont, although I wish I could.
So that is why I am loving and sticking with you guys, because I beleive in you guys with all of my heart!
You guys rock, you deserve all your success because you work hard for it. I support you all because you are so passionate about what you do, and you care about the community in which you do it in. Keep it up!

10,000 followers is great. Congrats. As for the NC Incentive, I believe that is a great advantage for filmmakers...I mean who wouldnt want to film in North Carolina?
The reason I follow you guys is I truly believe that people like me, who want to try to break into the industry, can find some inspiration in what you guys do. You turned a website that was going to be a small blog into something with an unbelievable amount of support. To that I also say congrats. The biggest reason I support you guys and your ideas is because you show that if you have an idea, and it is something real, the support will come to you. That is whats most inspiring. The creativity and drive that you show when completing your projects is remarkable.

I'm still fairly new here, but I think what your doing is really great! I think everyone who's brave enough to pursue their dream, no matter how different and unusual it is, should be supported! And your dream is a fantastic one! I love the idea of creating an independent film industry-far, far away from Hollywood and it's taste of movies- and letting everybody be part of this process, showing us what everybody else tries to hide! I love what has become out of this idea! How many layers you have by now, not only creating independent movies, but also supporting musicians, creating a graphic novel, walking us through great literature, now even creating a reality show, etc. I love how you keep us updated, appreciate all the work that you put into this and how you let us be part of all of it!!!
You've managed to pull so many people in the boat with you, all cheering for you, supporting you, dreaming along! You've managed to give us hope, showing us not to only follow what people expect from us, doing what everybody else does, but fighting for yourself.
From what I've read you gave so many people the courage to pursue their dreams, follow their own path and you've inspired them in so many different ways (I include myself in this!!!)!!!THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT!

It's great to hear that things are only getting better and better for all of you! I've stuck with you guys at SoGoPro because I love what you guys bring about for your fans as far as producing shorts and keeping us updated with everything that is going on within the production company, it is so exciting to open up my home page, Sogopro.com and see that a new blog has been written because I love the creativy that you all put out for us. It has been a very long time since I have felt so inspired to try new things and it's all because of Southern Gothic and what you have to offer us as your fans.
