While “social media” is a new term - the concept is not. If you’re reading this, you probably know that we’re dedicated to finding ways to share the creativity of our Street Team but you may not know why we use the term or how it is different from a Day Player. Let us explain...
Well before Lady G. embraced her “monsters”, we were referring to our crew as a street team. We recognized - even from the very beginning - that those who were supporting us were so much more than just “fan/fanatics”. The enthusiasm and creativity has always been an inspiration to us - but we needed a way to think about how to give that collective voice strength and a shared identity. Followers... Friends... it didn’t gel ‘til “Street Team” caught on. It’s a term rooted in the music industry - a way for indie labels and artists or like-minded supporters to work together sharing news and ideas at the grass-roots level. (KISS army anyone?) We’ve deliberately set up our community to reflect that vibe. In promoting people on our website up to the position of Street Team, we’re saying Thank You to those who have gone (and do go) a bit beyond. It’s truly worth getting to know these folks. They are our rock stars!
One quick way for us to see who is still active (and those heading quickly toward Street Team status) is to check our SoGoPro Crew page which refreshes to show those most recently active on top.
The film and television industry is highly collaborative and very variable. While core cast and crew are usually on for the run of the show, sometimes we need extra people - on both sides of the camera aka “Day Players”. Much like those on our website - those who show up, introduce themselves with a profile and happily sit on the sidelines. Which is fine, of course, but our database quickly gets clogged when those who sign up don’t log in again. So it’s time for us once again to purge the InActives.
If you’re still with us, dust off your profile, drop us a line in the comments - share (if you like) where else you can be found. If you’re lurking in the background but want to be a part of a fabulous crew, Register - get to know a few of the great people that keep us motivated.
Good conversations should always be from more than one POV (Point of View.)

I am here, I love to hear
I am here, I love to hear from you so much, even if I don't comment every post because I am French and a little ashamed of my English level! :)
You sharing with us your projects and their advance, it is such a precious gift.
Proud to be a part of SoGOPro street team.
Love you all so much,
Lonae.

Love SOGOPRO, Always an Inspiration for me.
Still Love it here, reading the updates and checking in every few days. I don't talk much to people on here as the time difference here in NZ doesn't usually work well but I read it all. I must say I do miss Nick and Hilarie's VBLOGS though! Love to have an update from them, or from Hilarie now that White Collar is on hiatus. Keep on keepin on everyone :)
I love this website and what
I love this website and what your company stand for, I don't reply or comment alot but I read everything you guys post, I will have to work on being more active!
I've been a part of other
I've been a part of other social media communities before, but non of them was such a tight knit 'family'. Not even in real life. I'm still positively surprised on how much trust we have for each other (in order to meet in person) and how well we are organized. And, what's even more amazing the creators of SoGoPro are there with us every day in SoGoPro life.
Also, all the registered users with undusted profiles are more than welcome to participate, instead of registering only because of a person with a name starting with a letter 'H'.
C'mon, guys!

Kasia
I was recently thinking
I was recently thinking about how "social media" is a new thing but yet it really isn't. Yes the face of social media is different, I have friends I met over 10 years ago...more like closer to 15 years (gosh how can that be possible!) that I met online, because we shared a common interest. Well I'm specifically thinking about one particular friend It when I was just in high school. She was in high school as well, and younger than me. I believe I had given her feedback on her fanfic I was reading, and we became friends because of that. I have even met her in person twice! We are currently facebook friends. We both have finished collage and she has even finished law school! We aren't as close as we once were but we keep in touch. Then I also have a bunch of other friends (3 or 4) that I met some years later on a message board... again because of a common interest. We became such good friends. In fact 3 of them are actually some of my closest friends. Our common interests has changed some...but our friendship remains. Though we live in different places we all get together a few times a year. Again that friendship was not something that started on facebook, twitter or myspace...
My cousin who is much younger than I am, made the comment to her mom, "Robin has friends from all over the world on facebook!" Interestingly enough all of those "facebook friends" I have from all over the world...I didn't meet any of them actually on Facebook. Most of them I met because of Sogopro! It's a wonderful thing to bring people toegther to spark friendships. I spend a lot of time on facebook (more than I should probably) but I truely believe my favorite kind of "social media" is the kind that is more authentic to "real life" Meeting people because of a shared interest is pretty "real life" to me. :)
Sorry this is such a long comment. Just thought I'd share.
Well said, Robin. Community
Well said, Robin. Community and friendships should not be limited to only those who share a geographic region. Common interests should always be the cornerstone - methods of communication will keep evolving. Great to get some insight on how your background naturally led to you being such a strong member of our Street Team for years now! Thanks, darlin'
I haven't been on in forever
But I always try to keep up when you guys post blogs and things.. I enjoy the sogopro community and what it stands for.. I love Hilarie and Kelly and Nick!! I wish they would all post more but I know all of your lives are busy busy..
a bit of info
It is because of being a registered memeber here and doing the Secret Santa 2 years ago that I have an amazing friend in London. We email back and forth all the time. I am very thankful for the people I have gotten to know because of SoGoPro. I am a screenwriter and love anything that has to do with this world.
That is SO cool. Perhaps
That is SO cool. Perhaps we'll try again this year if logistics work out!
I would go for it
If you did another Secret Santa I would gladly be part of it. Just keep us posted on it.
