Sooo, we're going to make a short film.
Nick and I were out one night, dancing....or just gyrating...doing that awkward shoulder shimmy that sober people do in bars before it gets crowded and there are other bodies to sway with. We were bored. Antsy. So naturally, "What can we go shoot?" popped into our heads. (film, not firearms, my friends. ha)
It will be a love story, as Nick is Dr. Romance. But it will be off kilter, because regular love stories are too vanilla for our Southern Gothic sensibilities.
Nick painted the script. I'll let him tell you about it. Or just hint about it.
But this weekend we went on a location scout and scoured the underbelly of Wilmington. Unfortunately, my little Flip camera broke so I was left shooting all of this on my tiny little digital still camera. You will laugh as Nick and I try to figure that device out. Sound is bad at times, so I threw some captions up. Overall, I just wanted to show you guys a little bit of how we are going to put this thing together.
And just wait for the cliffhanger at the end of this vid! I couldn't believe it myself.

Oh, the connections to be made from the photo of the abandoned store!
Prior to One Tree Hill, Austin played the part of Jackson on Surface, an NBC show that filmed in Wilmington a few years ago. In the 7th episode of the show, we see this store. Not only this, but we also see Vaughan Wilson in the scene with the store. For those who aren't aware, Vaughan plays Fergie on OTH. It seems to be fate that has brought Austin back to Wilmington and to the SoGo team, and as a fan of Austin's and of this burgeoning production team, I could not be more pleased. :)

hey guys ! Wow it's been such a crazy week i feel like i've been out of a lot of things. This sucks but that's the price to pay when u're preparing an exam i guess. Well i see u guys do great and it's amazing to see how much are all involved in this thing. U're so so inspiring it's crazy to think of u as ordinary people. Hil as you know we are all devoted to you and your crazy team right now. Whatever u do, wherever you go we'll follow. That's what fans are for right ? ha ha. I'm just an ordinay french fan but i feel so damn involved in this. I wish u all the best and don't worry Hil we all still stuck to OTH and we love it it's just sad to know that it's almost over... Hil and Nick I always get a kick out of you two, you always surprise us. Same with Austin. I like that fact that you keep us on our toes or at the edge of our seat, anxiously waiting for what happens next.

Wilmington looks like such a and amazing place to film! I'm exited to see your film. I'm loving the locations!! I may have to take a trip down to NC some day I'm going to "film school" LOL. I just read "To Kill A Mockingbird" in English class and i totally got that reference which Nick made to the character Boo Radley when Hilarie found the note!

For some reason, it always surprises me how low Nick's voice is. It's lovely though.

Your short film is already highly anticipated. Your vlogs are the best! The Hilarie & Nick exploration combo yields intriguing results. Bones and a note (possibly a love letter) - too cool.

As a film and marine biology double major, I felt inclined to answer Hilarie's question and say that I believe those bones belong to a Brown Pelican. Not only do they look like a Brown Pelican, but since they're out here year around, it would make sense.

Ok, so I first stumbled across this page today while trying to figure out something about the future of One Tree Hill. I am now in love with this page, and have favorited it, and I'm feeling a bit like a creeper going back and figuring everything out about the umpcoming short film and such. Best of luck and I can't wait to see more!
