sure. we may have established a self-perpetuated reputation that we're always doing business in bars.
and yes, we sure do love that t-pain verse in jamie foxx's ode to liquor:
"Im'ma take a shot of Nuvo,
Shorty, then you know what's going down,
and we can go and kick it like judo....."
[mmm. Nuvo.]
but. not this week. we're working. for reals. here's what we've been up to.
*the first episode of our web series has reached a final draft, and billy and kelly are manning up on the shooting schedule today. we cast the episode early last week based on our recent prescreen auditions, and are graciously overwhelmed with the level of talent we'll be working with when we shoot next week. all of the characters were written specifically for the actors that caught our eye, and so obviously, we were thrilled to have them all accept roles. can't wait to start introducing you all to them. my dear friends stephen jones and audrey cregan have been arduously working their graphic design fingers to the bone on some really zany posters that we are going to be using as materials for previous shows the theater company has done. the posters are sensational, and again, i feel so fortunate to have these lucky charms in my life. our location is booked, and upon booking this location, we all find ourselves in a state of knockback by how open-armed the community is reacting to us-engines-that-could-would-and will. it certainly has been a rapid-fire process as far as getting this first installment knocked out, but we are ecstatic about the show's potential! and thank you, of course, for the time you have spent answering our demographics queries and telling us how you snack, shampoo, and shave. we love you for that, and much more!
*i'm continuing the edit on the true-love tale of boyfriend and girlfriend. the narration of cullen moss is just magic. my pal stephen is also doing all the visual effects for the film, and truly truly adding an incredible dimension to what will be a final product that i will be very proud of. but. final cut continues to frustrate me to no end, yet as all my editing buddies tell me, this vexation is bane of any editor's existence.
*there are also a lot of miniature pieces of good news related to pedestrian and another one of our projects that we still can't share...
*last night, hilarie and i stopped in on one of the final shots for the day of provinces of night, which hilarie has wrapped on. it was a truly remarkable moment, and hilarie had a teary glimmer in her eye as she leaned in to me to whisper, "this is shane's [the director] dream coming true." and it was. and i thought to myself, as i can't help but do daily, "all of this that is happening right now is my dream coming true." it really is. and i'm so happy you are all along for the ride with us!
*and of course, we're vloggggggggging like demons!
so kudos to us, i guess. or as my favorite new york housewife ramona says, "kadooze!"
