hello friendlies!  

the news of yesterday is that mick and i have made unrelenting progress on the edit of the true-love tale of Boyfriend and Girlfriend, and have completed the rough cut.  so, the beginning of this coming week will be one of trimming it down some, finding the perfect cuts, listening to cullen moss' narration over and over again, and making sure i'm happy with each and every inflection.  i'm hoping to have a pre-music/graphics final cut by wednesday, when i'll hand it off to our designers and our composer.  and in the meanwhile of their genius, perhaps i'll relish in a week or so of rest...  ah, rest.  but really, i'll be reading, reading graphic novels.  next on my list is the umbrella academy, which was conceived by gerard way, the lead vocalist of my chemical romance.  see guys and gals, we at SoGoPro aren't the only ones with multifaceted sunset dreams...!

today, however, i want to introduce you to walter the stage manager (played by taylor kowalski), another staple of Friendship Union Community Theater...

as with most of the stage managers i've encountered in my days of the theater, walter is an odd hand.  and his rather unhealthy obsession with clarisse will spin nervously throughout the entire first season of F.U.C.T.  curious to see whether or not you all will be rooting for him, 'cause i'll tell you now they won't be pam and jim, and they're certainly not lincoln and mona.  but i guess evolution is unpredictable, so maybe even i don't know.  

one of the most memorable things you will take away from walter is a prop he aligns himself with, a sugar dispenser...  and so, with reference to that, i will refer back to a quote from shirley jackson's we have always lived in the castle, with a different spin...  

"the sugar dispenser of admirable girth, that like you would see in an all-night diner, that which walter prizes so highly.  you will be wondering about that sugar dispenser, i imagine.  is it still in use?  you are wondering; has it been cleaned?  you may very ask; was it thoroughly washed?..."
