- About Me
I am a kindergarten teacher in Michigan. Started watching OTH mid 2nd season, liked it, fell in love with it 3rd season. Converted my sister (and her husband, though he'd never admit it), and we (my sister and I) have have been to Wilmington the last 3 summers. We were actually extras in the first episode of the last season in a scene with Chad and Sophia. We also met Hilarie, who told us we should go to the heavy hair band concert downtown, which we did and had a great time. We will be back this summer, hoping for more fun.If I wasn't a teacher, I would be an actor, I have actually had a principal write me a note that said "you should be on stage." I think teaching allows a lot of acting, every year I get excited about learning the number 5. Really, it doesn't thrill me, but the kids all think it does! I also often break into spontaneous song. About 2 months ago, while the students were packing up their backpacks and getting ready to go home, I started singing Here Comes the Sun. After I sang here comes the sun a little voice goes, "doot en do do". It was so funny and cute. Now both of my classes are trained to sing doot en do do, when I sing here comes the sun. How fun!
- Favorite Music
Love music and love to sing. Many kinds, not rap, not opera. I am going to a Billy Joel/Elton John concert this summer at Wrigley Field and am quite excited about that. Saw Bryan Adams recently, an acoustic concert in my hometown of Kalamazoo Michigan. It was great! Also have tickets for the American Idol tour concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I know, American Idol, but I fell in love with Adam, and Matt was from Kalamazoo.
Friends With Benefit is my favorite OTH cd, love Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum, Brown-Eyed Girl by Van Morrison, Changes by David Bowie, Bon Jovi, Five for Fighting, and my all time favorite musical soundtrack is Les Miserables, followed by Evita or Jesus Christ Superstar.- Favorite Books
Another love, reading! One of my favorite things to pass on to and talk about with students. In my personal life, Gone With the Wind, Deep Summer by Gwen Bristow, The Ruins (creepy, but couldn't put it down), The Stand by Stephen King, also like the true crime genre, sometimes romance, sometimes fantasy, like Ender's Game, and historical.
